SUMMARY:Ellison Bay Arts-Fall Art Crawl
DESCRIPTION:The Fall Art Crawl is always the weekend after the Sister Bay Fall Fest which is typically the third weekend in October. \nSaturday & Sunday\, 10am-5pm \nGo north to Ellison Bay to enjoy the best view in Door County. Rich in the tradition of arts and\ncrafts\, Ellison Bay is home to artist studios/galleries that feature pottery\, original paintings\,\nphotography\, wearable art and handmade leather items. There is also a cider house\, coffee house\nand a folk school. \nClay Bay Pottery-Jeanne and David Aurelius of Clay Bay Pottery create hand thrown pottery and tiles. Jeanne’s\nfunctional work reflects her devotion and delight in nature surrounding their rural studio and\ngallery. She is also known for her whimsical ladies. In a nice balance\, David’s work is more\nabstract creating hand built vases\, serving pieces and tiles. Their gallery also carries original\npaintings\, woodcuts\, and pottery from other well known artists. \nTurtle Ridge Gallery/Boutique -The gallery space features mixed media paintings\, encaustics\nand etchings by Mary Ellen Sisulak. The award winning boutique offers unique handmade\nleather bags and art to wear made on site; complimented by artisan jewelry and designer\nclothing. Turtle Ridge is surrounded by the inspiration of gardens and nature. Art Camps are\noffered. \nKick Ash Coffee/Door County Love Artisan Granola-It’s a great place to kick back\, enjoy the\nview and enjoy coffee\, granola and other treats from their gluten free kitchen. \nGills Rock Pottery/ Thor and Judy Thoreson live and work in a century old building located in the well-established art community of Ellison Bay. In their gallery one can enjoy the designs on hand thrown pots which are both functional and decorative. Table linens and wooden ware are artfully displayed with the pottery. Outside\, one can enjoy their striking garden pieces. \nThe Clearing Folk School-An adult folk school that offers classes in the arts and fine crafts\, humanities and\nnatural sciences in a beautiful wooded setting on the water.\nEllison Bay Pottery Potters John Dietrich and Diane McNeil create distinctive\, contemporary\,\nfunctional and decorative one of a kind pottery inspired by the natural beauty of Door County. \nRob Williams Studio/Gallery-Rob’s colorful watercolor and oil landscapes are paired with\nShirley’s photographs and gardens. \nAfter your tour\, stop and enjoy a glass of several handcrafted ciders offered at Island Orchard\nCider House. \nwww.ellisonbayarts.com

DESCRIPTION:During Door County Fall Art Festivals.\n \n12495 Door Bluff Road\, Ellison Bay \n(773) 636-6289 \nContemporary abstract artist Keven Wilder will be showing new paintings in the Annex.  Wilder’s Door County Studio/Gallery Annex is located at 12495 Door Bluff Road in Ellison Bay (a mile north of the Clearing) and will also be open by appointment through the fall season.\n \nIn the new Annex that opened earlier this year\, Wilder will be showing her latest colorful abstract paintings in oil and mixed media in a variety of sizes\, formats and price points during the show.  All of Keven’s work are original art pieces; none of the artwork shown are prints. Also\, on view will be photographs of Door County scenes taken by her husband Nick Wilder.  His photo essays are published in Classic Chicago\, an online magazine celebrating the Chicago region.\n\n\nwww.kwilderart.com
