Annual Ellison Bay Groundhog Day Parade

To join the “Inclement Weather Marching Band”, meet at The Vault Door County parking lot around 2:45 to hone your cacophonous noise making skill with others before the parade. (Bring your pots and spoons, your tambourines and recorders, your stumpf fiddles and washboards!)

If you have a vehicle or float you’d like to have in the parade, line up along Garrett Bay Rd near the Ellison Bay post office, and we’ll all roll out in all our Ground-hoggin’ glory at 3pm! Our very long route extends from the intersection of Garrett Bay and Hwy 42 to the parking area of Hillside Inn! (Cars and floats can turn around at Hillside Inn.)

Join in the party afterward at the Mink River Basin for fun and free Groundhog Stew! (no actual groundhogs were harmed in the making of the stew….it’s pork.
